As with the rest of the country, our services are required to follow the guidelines in the COVID Protection Framework. How our programmes and services have been impacted is outlined below, as well as the days our programmes will be closed over the Christmas break.

Mentoring and Tutoring Education Scheme (MATES)

All homework sessions have wrapped up for the year and will start again in Term One 2022.

Before then we will be working closely with MATES Schools to ensure when the homework sessions return we comply with the COVID Protection Framework. We will confirm these details closer to the time.

The MATES office is shut for the Christmas period from the 15th December to the 11th January.

If you need more information about MATES please contact our Programme Manager, Connor Bourne on [email protected].

Home Interaction Programme for Parents and Youngsters (HIPPY)

Delivering HIPPY to the community has closed for the year. It will start again in late January/early February. Get in touch with your local HIPPY Provider for exact dates.

As the country is under levels of the COVID Protection Framework each site is functioning under their region's health and safety requirements. For more information on this, please get in touch with your local HIPPY Provider.

If you need more information about HIPPY, please get in touch with the National Director, Mark Veale on [email protected].

Family Service Centres

As the Centres are co-located with early learning centres we will be following the My Vaccine Pass rules. Staff are required to wear masks while in the Centre and when meeting with clients. All visitors to the Centre are to wear a mask.

Staff in the Early Learning Centre will be wearing masks for the children’s pick up and drop off, and we are requiring parents and caregivers to do the same.

Our Centres will be closed for walk-in visitors and client visits from Thursday 23rd December – Tuesday 11th January.

The specific details for each of our services are as follows,

  • Social Services (Social Workers, Counselling, Social Workers in Schools, Family Violence team) closed Thursday 23rd December, opening Wednesday 12th January
